PONTE VEDRA BEACH, Fla.- The University of Louisville men's golf team improved by five shots but still remain in 15th place after two rounds in a loaded field at The Hayt, taking place at Sawgrass Country Club.

After shooting a 6-over-par 294 on Saturday, the Cardinals shot a 1-over-par 289 to remain 15th in the field. Charlotte overtook the group of 16 teams with a 10-under-par 278. LSU is in second place followed by Auburn, Texas Tech and South Carolina to round out the top five.

Cooper Claycomb posted the top round for the Cardinals by shooting a 2-under-par 70 to move to even-par for the two days of the tournament. He enters the final round in a tie for 41st place. Warren Thomis carded the second-best 18 holes by shooting a 1-under-par 71 to 70th place.

Adam Buchanan is tied for 61st-place after he shot a 2-over-par 74 to move to 3-over-par for the first 36 holes. Easton Johnson dropped to 78th place after his round of 74 on Sunday. He's 6-over-par for the tournament.

Brady Smith shot a 4-over-par 76 to sit in a tie for 61st place and is currently at 3-over-par after two days of play.

Louisville closes out the tournament off of hole No. 1 beginning at 10:20 a.m.
