Round 2 was suspended due to darkness
SUGAR GROVE, Ill.-Â The University of Louisville men's golf team opened up its fall season of play by standing in 10th place after one round of action at the Northern Intercollegiate on Saturday. Play was suspended at 8 p.m. due to darkness. Action will resume Sunday morning at 9 a.m. in a shotgun start, finishing the second round while beginning the third round simultaneously
In its first event of the fall season, the Cardinals were 20-over as a team shooting a 308.
J.D. Lehman is leading the way for the Cardinals as he is tied for 14th overall after carding a 2-over par 74. Robin Sciot-Siegrist is tied for 33rd overall after his 3-over par 75 on Saturday. Newcomer Simon Zach is tied for 44th when he fired a 6-over par 78 and Patrick Frodigh was 7-over par with his 79. Hugo Esposito shot an 8-over par 80 to sit in a tie for 60th place.

The 54-hole tournament is being held at Rich Harvest Farms in Sugar Grove, Ill., which boasts a 7,151-yard, Par 72 course. Joining Louisville in the tournament field is No. 7 UCLA, No. 24 Virginia, Ball State, Houston, Indiana, Lousiville, Marquette, New Mexico State, Purdue, Toledo, UCF and Winthrop.Â
