Four University of Louisville men's tennis players: Alex Gornet, Courtney Lock, Chris Simich and Sebastian Stiefelmeyer were named Intercollegiate Tennis Association Scholar Athletes.
"These four players know what it means to be a student-athlete, because they epitomize it every day," said UofL head coach Rex Ecarma. "They have just the right balance in life to make them successful at everything. This bodes well for their futures."
In order to earn ITA Scholar-Athlete status a player must be a varsity letter winner, have a grade point average of at least 3.50 (on a 4.00 scale) for the current academic year, and have been enrolled at their present school for at least two semesters. In 2015, the Cardinals posted a 23-9 record and made its 11th overall NCAA appearance.
