Sebastian Stiefelmeyer accepts the award for Best Championship Performance
The University of Louisville men's tennis team collected honors at 2015 Louie Awards which were presented April 20 at the Palace Theatre.
Sebastian Stiefelmeyer earned the Louie Award for best championship performance. The senior seized the outdoor Intercollegiate Tennis Association All-American Championship in September, winning nine-consecutive matches for the title, including six upset victories.
Stiefelmeyer was also recognized as an ACC Scholar Athlete Award recipient.
Men's tennis also won the Cardinal Cup - an annual competition among the teams which encourages involvement in the LCare program on many levels including life skills, community service academics, career development and athletic achievement. The Cardinal Cup is awarded to a male and female team each year.
