Women's Golf Competing in Bryan National Collegiate This Weekend

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The University of Louisville women's golf team wraps up regular-season play this weekend, when it heads to North Carolina to compete in the Bryan National College at Bryan Park Champions Course in Greensboro.
The three-day, 54-hole event begins on Friday, and Louisville is scheduled to tee off at the par-72, 6,386-yard course at 9:05 a.m. Live stats will be available through GolfStat.com.
The highly competitive field features nine teams currently ranked in GolfStat's top 40: No. 9 Northwestern, No. 12 Virginia, No. 13 Wake Forest, No. 18 Vanderbilt, No. 19 Florida, No. 30 Notre Dame, No. 34 Auburn, No. 35 Florida State, and No. 40 NC State.
The Cardinals will utilize a lineup of Katie Mitchell, Emily Haas, Katie Petrino, Laura Restrepo, and Louise Oxner, with Molly Skapik playing as an individual.
Louisville played in the event last year, placing sixth out of 18 teams. Petrino paced the group with a 12th-place finish with an 8-over-par 224. Haas also earned a top-20 showing, tying for 16th.
Louisville is coming off a third-place finish at the Anuenue Spring Break Classic behind a season-best round of 3-under-par 285. It was the team's sixth top-five finish this season. All four of the Cardinals' scoring golfers finished in the top 20: Petrino (No. 6), Restrepo (t-No. 9), Mitchell (t-No. 19), and Oxner (t-No. 19).
Through 24 rounds of competition, Restrepo leads the team with a 73.88 stroke average. Haas is second on the team in average (74.17), while boasting a team-best five top-10 finishes. Mitchell (74.42) and Petrino (75.19) are Nos. 3 and 4, respectively, in stroke average.
The Cardinals play in their first ACC Championship, also in North Carolina, from April 17-19 at Sedge Field Country Club.
