Women's Golf Heads to ACC Championship on Friday

*Due to expected inclement weather on Sunday, the ACC Championship will be held on Friday and Saturday, with teams playing 27 holes each of the two days.
LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The University of Louisville women's golf team begins postseason play this week, when it takes part in its first Atlantic Coast Conference Women's Golf Championship in Greensboro, N.C.
The two-day, 54-hole tournament begins on Friday, with Louisville teeing off at 8:20 a.m. on the par-72, 6,089-yard course at Sedgefield Country Club. Live results will be available on GolfStat.com. ESPN3 will carry the event on Saturday.
The ACC features seven teams in the Golfstat's top-40 rankings: No. 5 Duke, No. 11 Virginia, No. 12 Wake Forest, No. 26 Miami (Fla.), No. 31 Florida State, No. 32 Notre Dame, and No. 40 Louisville.

Louisville is sending a lineup of Emily Haas, Katie Mitchell, Louise Oxner, Laura Restrepo, and Katie Petrino.
Through 10 events this year, including fall competition, the Cardinals have compiled seven top-five finishes. Collectively, Louisville's four-player teams are averaging a 9-over-par 299 and have combined for 27 rounds even or below par.
Last time out, Louisville tied for seventh among an 18-team field, which included nine teams in the top 40, at the Bryan National Collegiate. Haas and Mitchell notched identical 8-over-par 224 performances, tying for 10th on the individual leaderboard.
Haas currently is tied for first on the team with a 2-over-par 74.22-stroke average, logging a team-best six top-10 finishes. For her career, the senior has placed in the top 10 on 18 occasions. Restrepo, tied with Haas in stroke average, has compiled nine rounds even or below par, most on the squad. Mitchell (3-over-par 74.44) and Oxner (4-over-par 75.48) round out the Cardinals' top-four scorers.
Last year, Louisville defeated UCF on the final day of the American Athletic Conference Championship to earn the program's fifth conference title. Haas made a 10-foot birdie on the final, securing the team victory. Individually, Haas placed second with a 7-over-par 223.
