Louisville men advance to the NCAA Championship
Earlysville, Va. – The University of Louisville men's cross country team won the first NCAA Southeast Regional in school history on Friday afternoon at Panaroma Farms in Earlysville, Va. The Louisville women finished eighth, improving two spots from last season's finish. With the win, the men advance to the NCAA Championship next Saturday, Nov. 21 at E.P. Tom Sawyer Park.
"I couldn't be more excited for the men's squad," said head coach Dale Cowper. "They have done a tremendous job of patiently building throughout the season under Coach Walker's guidance. The front four raced just as we had hoped and George Yator came through big time as our fifth man."
