January 28, 2015 | Men's Tennis
The University of Louisville men's tennis recruiting class joining the team in the fall of 2015 has been ranked 18th according to TennisRecruiting.net.
"It took a tremendous amount of time and work over the summer and fall but it was worth it," said UofL head coach Rex Ecarma. "I went to a lot of tournaments around the country to see a large number of players. I kept our official visit coordinator, Daniel Gossom, busy all fall semester. These players understood our vision for excellence and enjoyed meeting our current players. They were impressed with our campus and the overall student-athlete services. They also knew we were graduating one of the largest senior classes in the country and that there is playing time available for them their freshman year. They love the fact that we play in the ACC and that we are an adidas school."
"My first commitment was Chris Morin-Kougoucheff who is from France but his family moved to Florida. He has some nice wins including one over a Blue Chip recruit," continued Ecarma. "My second commitment was Michael Quang, a nice all-court player and who impressive at the USA SuperNational. Our third commitment was Christian Haushammer who had a good USA Clay court national tournament. Finally, Brandon Lancaster is highly respected in this city and the current Kentucky State High School Singles Champion. These guys have big shoes to fill but they are ambitious about this opportunity."
