Track and Field Completes Day One at the UK Invite

Senior Brad Vivace finished with a personal best in the UK Invite on Friday night at the Nutter Fieldhouse in Lexington, Ky. The men's distance medley relay team of Ernest Kibet, Teague Peck, Andrew Stewart, and Edwin Kibichiy highlighted the Cards' first night with a second place finish.
In the first event of the day, sophomore Dolly Nyemah finished fourth in the women's weight throw with a distance of 19.50m/63-11.75. Teammate Rachel Serafin finished eighth with a toss of 17.36m/56-11.50.
Vivace also finished fourth, throwing a personal best of 18.46m/60-06.75 in the weight throw. He passed his previous personal best of 18.16m/59-7 set at Vanderbilt's Music City Invitational on Dec. 4, 2014.
Finishing up the evening was the men's distance medley. The Cardinals finished second with a time of 9:58.53.
The Cardinals wrap up UK Invite on Saturday with field events beginning at 9:00 a.m. at the Nutter Fieldhouse in Lexington, Ky.
