Track and Field Wins Two Events at the UK Invite

The Louisville track and field team finished with two wins at the UK Invite on Saturday at the Nutter Fieldhouse in Lexington, Ky. Freshman Josh Hall won the 400 meter dash with a time of 47.84. Louisville also won the 4x400 meter relay.
Hall also finished third in the 200 meter dash with a time of 21.93. He was also a member of the 4x400 relay that won with a time of 3:17.06. Hall was joined by teammates Antoine Keys, Jaron Brown and Carlos Coleman. Louisville's B team finished second with a time of 3:19.10. Andrew Nsuk, Calvin Arsenault, Austin Hyden and Teague Peck were members of the B team.
Louisville had other strong performances on the day, including a fourth place finish by Arsenault in the 60 meter hurdles with a time of 8.18. Edwin Kibichiy finished fourth in the mile run with a time of 4:10.56.
Brown finished fourth in the long jump with a distance of 7.00m/22-11.75. Freshman Devin Valentine jumped 14.95m/49-00.75 to finish third in the triple jump.
On the women's side, Bre'Yana Wash finished second in the long jump with a distance of 5.81m/19-00.75. Chelsea Bingham and Kelsey DeLapp finished tied for third in the Pole Vault, clearing 3.70m/12-01.50.
Maggie Gilbertson finished fourth in the high jump, clearing 1.65m/5-05.00 in her first try. Kelsie Courtney finished fifth clearing 1.65m/5-05.00 in her second try.
The Cardinals will be back in action at the Vanderbilt Black and Gold on Jan. 23-24 in Nashville, Tenn.
