The University of Louisville men's tennis team has placed three players in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Preseason Rankings. Senior Sebastian Stiefelmeyer is No. 110 in singles while fellow seniors Chris Simich and Albert Wagner stand at No. 58 in doubles.
Stiefelmeyer (Vienna, Austria), a three-time all-conference selection, has appeared in the ITA singles rankings in each of his seasons at UofL reaching as high as No. 47. Last season he compiled a 23-17 overall record and went 14-10 in dual matches as the Cards' top-ranked player. Wagner (Amberg, Germany) and Simich (Auckland, New Zealand) earned all-conference honors in 2014 after registering a team-best 22-6 overall record and going 16-5 in dual matches.
"I'm really proud of Sebastian, Chris and Albert," said UofL head coach Rex Ecarma. "Over the course of their careers, they have earned respect in the sport and that has been acknowledged in the preseason rankings."
