The University of Louisville set a school record and earned two second swims after the third day of preliminaries at the 2014 NCAA Women's Swimming and Diving Championships in Minneapolis on the campus of the University of Minnesota.
Kelsi Worrell, who was the national runner up in the 100 fly last night, returns to the finals. This time she is seeded sixth in the 200 fly in the A final with a qualifying time of 1:53.98. Senior Tanja Kylliainen finished 11th in the same event to make the consols with a 1:55.06.
The 400 free relay team of Kelsi Worrell (48.18), Krissie Brandenburg (49.76), Tanja Kylliainen (50.20) and Breann McDowell combined to post a 3:17.56. Worrell's leadoff leg of 48.18 was the second fastest leadoff leg in the entire field and a UofL school record but it was not enough to earn a second swim and was ranked 21st.
Freshman Andrea Cottrell went 2:10.29 in the 200 breast and Gisselle Kohoyda went 2:11.40 but did not make the final field of 16.
