Emily Haas Named American Athletic Conference Player of the Week

Louisville junior Emily Haas was named the American Women's Golf Player of the Week on Wednesday after leading the Cards to its first spring tournament win.
Haas was three over par and finished with a score of 219. She shot a 71, her low round of the tournament, in the first round. She followed up with a 72 in the second round and a 76 in the final round for her first Top 10 finish of the spring and her third of the year.
Louisville came from behind to capture the tournament title at the Clover Cup in Mesa, Ariz. The Cardinals shot a 297 in the final round to win the event by one stroke over host Notre Dame with a score of 888.
The Cardinals will be back in action on March 28 as they compete in the Bryan National Collegiate.
