Blondell Named AAC Swimmer of the Week

In the final swimming and diving awards of the regular season, Louisville junior Caryle Blondell was named the American Athletic Conference Male Swimmer of the Week.
In a top-ten matchup, Blondell led No. 7 Louisville against No. 8 Indiana as the lone multiple event winner for the Cardinals. The junior had three times that place him in the top 50 fastest in the nation, all in first place swims. Blondell touched the wall in 43.74 in the 100-yard freestyle, 19.93 in the 50-yard freestyle, and swam the third leg of the 400-yard freestyle relay in 42.80 as the Cardinals finished in 2:56.30.
