Kubel, Strong Earn NSCAA All-South Region Honors

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Louisville freshman defender Tim Kubel was named First Team All-South Region by the NSCAA earlier this week while junior midfielder Ben Strong was a Third Team selection.
Kubel (Stuttgart, Germany) led the Cardinals with seven goals and added five assists while starting all 22 matches in his first collegiate season. Selected as the 2014 ACC Freshman of the Year as well as an All-ACC Second Team honoree, Kubel scored three game-winning goals this season and was 3-for-3 on penalty kicks.
In his first season playing for the Cardinals after transferring from Virginia Tech, Strong (Mendham, N.J.) scored five goals and added four assists in 21 starts. Highlighted by his two-goal performance against Duke on Sept. 13, Strong was an All-ACC First Team selection in 2014.
Making their eighth straight NCAA Championship appearance, the No. 13 Cardinals ended their season on Nov. 30 with a 1-0 loss to UMBC in a third round match at Dr. Mark and Cindy Lynn Stadium. In its debut season in the Atlantic Coast Conference, Louisville (11-8-3) advanced to the title match of the ACC Championship and earned a top 16 national seed in the NCAA Championship. The Cardinals defeated 19th-ranked Saint Louis in the second round marking the fourth time in five seasons they advanced to the round of 16 in the NCAA tournament.

2015 Season Tickets
Season tickets for Louisville's second season at Dr. Mark and Cindy Lynn Stadium are now available. To obtain tickets for the 2015 soccer season, call Dan Cerwinski in the Louisville ticket office at (502) 852-0120 and place your $70 deposit. Ticket prices for the 2015 season will remain the same as the inaugural season and will start as low $45.
Season tickets for 2015 include every home match for both the men's and women's soccer programs. Men's home matches at Dr. Mark and Cindy Lynn Stadium will feature former Big East and American Conference rival Connecticut as well as in-state foe Kentucky. The women's side will again feature the top programs in the ACC highlighted by 21-time national champion North Carolina, 2013 College Cup runner-up Florida State and Duke.
