LOUISVILLE, Ky. - University of Louisville men's tennis coach Rex Ecarma has announced that Christopher Morin-Kougoucheff has signed to play for the Cardinals starting in the fall of 2015.
Morin Kougoucheff joins the Cardinals from Weston Fla., but is a native of Capbreton, France. Some of his career highlights include winning the Palm Beach Junior Singles Championship and the Tri-Tennis Super Series. He has also registered singles wins over four players ranked in the top 66 according to Tennisrecruiting.net.
"Christopher is a very good player that has flying under the recruiting radar because his family is from France and he cannot play many USA tournaments," said Ecarma. "He has played a handful and did well. He is a player with a lot of potential and comes from an athletic family - his older sister plays No. 3 for the University of Kentucky and brother plays No. 1 for Florida Atlantic. It has been a pleasure to get to know him throughout the entire recruiting process and he will represent UofL with integrity and class.
"I can't wait to be a part of the 2015 tennis team," said Morin- Kougoucheff. "I really feel like I can grow as a great player under Rex Ecarma's coaching. I'm looking forward to excelling in a competitive environment."
