Men's Tennis Signs Haushammer

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - University of Louisville men's tennis head coach Rex Ecarma has announced that Christian Haushammer has signed a National Letter of Intent to join the Cardinals.
"Christian really loves the game and wants to try the pro tour after graduating UofL," said Ecarma. "He is also a student of the game and plays all types of tournaments such as USTA, ITF, Open events, etc. which gives him good experience. He is also a well-recognized name in Florida which is arguably the best region to recruit in America. I want to help him reach all of his goals."
Haushammer joins the Cardinals from Delray Beach, Fla., and is currently ranked No. 54 in the United States according to Tennisrecruiting.net. In singles, he reached the round of 32 of the USA Clay Court Nationals, was a semifinalist of the Delray Beach ITF and reached the quarterfinals of the USA Regional in Coral Gables, Fla. He also won the consolation draw of the Delray Beach Open Wildcard tournament and was a consolation finalist at the USA Regional in Las Vegas. In doubles, Haushammer advanced to the semifinals of the National Selection Tournament in Washington D.C. and the Barbados ITF and reached the quarterfinals of the Evert American ITF.
"Louisville is great because the atmosphere surrounding sports is ecstatic and energetic," said Haushammer. "I feel so much support and am excited to start a new season. I want to perform the best that I can to bring the team forward."
