Brown Advances to Ohio Valley Regional Main Draw
October 15, 2014 | Men's Tennis
NASHVILLE, Tenn. - The University of Louisville's Jeffrey Brown defeated Vanderbilt's Tate Alwardt 6-4, 6-2 in the USTA/ITA Ohio Valley Regional Qualifying Draw to advance to the tournament's main draw.
"Jeff continues to be hot this fall," said UofL head coach Rex Ecarma. "He has really developed over the course of four semesters and is making a statement regionally. He may have the best serve on the team. It is never easy to beat a good player on his home court, but he knew that is what he needed to do to qualify for the main draw. He is making the most of the moment."
Brown will join teammates Alex Gornet, Michael Lippens, Chris Simich and Albert Wagner in the Ohio Valley Regional Main Draw which starts Thursday.
