The No. 17-ranked University of Louisville volleyball team will have two matches televised on ESPNU this season as announced by The American.
"We talk all the time about national relevance and when you get the opportunity to play on national television it speaks volumes about the credibility of your program," said UofL head coach Anne Kordes. "There are a lot of programs that get to play on their own conference network but when ESPNU puts you on television that gives us the exposure to volleyball hotbeds around the country and we are excited about that."
The Cardinals and UCF were picked as the top two finishers respectively in the 2013 Preseason American Coaches' Poll, while UConn was tabbed third.
Louisville went 30-4 and won the BIG EAST last season, and is currently ranked at No. 17 in the most recent AVCA National Coaches' Poll. The Cardinals have gotten off to a 1-1 start in 2013, defeating Syracuse before falling at then-No. 2 Penn State last weekend. UConn is currently 2-2 after sweeping Hartford in its home opener on Tuesday. The No. 17-ranked University of Louisville volleyball team will have two matches televised on ESPNU this season as announced by The American.
The Louisville versus UCF matchup Oct. 13 at 1 p.m. ET in KFC Yum! Center and then the Oct. 27 matchup with UConn at 1:00 ET in Storrs, Conn. will be shown on ESPNU.
