The University of Louisville's Sebastian Stiefelmeyer fell in the first round of the 2013 Saint Francis All-American Championships Qualifying Draw.
Stiefelmeyer, the top seed in the draw, fell 6-4, 6-3 to San Diego's Uros Petronijevic .
"Sebastian lost to a good player from San Diego," said UofL head coach Rex Ecarma. "Obviously, his opponent was motivated against the #1 seed. Right now, Sebastian is really pressing because he wants to do so well. He is extremely disappointed but knows the adjustments he has to make. I still have a lot of confidence in him."
Albert Wagner and Alex Gornet will open doubles play on Tuesday.
