Rex Ecarma previews the ITA All-America Championships
A field of 64 singles players and 32 doubles teams will then compete in the main draw with the singles quarterfinalists, doubles finalists and consolation champions receiving an automatic entry into the USTA/ITA National Indoor Intercollegiate Championships on Nov. 7-10, held at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Flushing Meadows, NY.
"We're excited about the All-American Championships," said UofL head coach Rex Ecarma. "It's really the best of the best in the country and we had a doubles team and a singles player invited to it. Alex and Albert had a really good regional championship last year and made it to the semifinals. Sebastian is No. 47 in the preseason singles rankings. I really think this is an important tournament. It's the first of the collegiate grand slams and really sets the tone. This is important for the top players in the country."
