Hey Cards Fans, it's Carly!
After two weeks of hard work, today we finally reached the last day of preseason double sessions. This brings us one step closer to official competition and the start of our season. We started off the day with a strong breakfast followed by a swift warmup to prepare us for one of our toughest preseason days. It took less than ten minutes for everyone to notice that my spandex were on backwards. Again. Note to self: Stop getting dressed in the dark.
We spent the majority of the day playing in preparation for the Alumnae match! (I hope you were there!) It was a high energy affair. We dove for balls and screamed and chanted, anything to win each game we played whether is was a full match or a side out game to 5.
The day ended with an amazing dinner together as we sat around the table and laughed with (and at) one another. We made it through all the blood, sweat and tears. Now it is time to apply all of these skills we've practiced so hard on the court in matches. Lets goooooooo!
