Men's Tennis Inks Swedish Standout

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - University of Louisville men's tennis coach Rex Ecarma has announced that Eric Bonfre has signed a National Letter of Intent to play for the Cardinals starting in the 2013-14 season.

Bonfre, a native of Gothenburg, Sweden, is currently ranked among the top 100 in his Sweden and is in the top seven in his age group.

"I am happy to add Eric Bonfre to the Cardinal Tennis family," said Ecarma. "He reminds me of two players. One, current player, Albert Wagner because they are both tall and hit hard from the baseline. The second player is Cardinal legend, Jakob Gustafsson who led the team to a No. 12 ranking and a NCAA host site selection in 2006. Jakob happens to be from Sweden as well."
