
Volleyball Will Run Eight Camps This Summer

The Camps are:
All Skills Camp I ~ June 10-12
Setting/Hitting Camp ~ June 13
Serving Camp ~ June 14
All Skills Camp II ~ July 8 & 9--9:00a-3:30p
Positional Camp ~ July 8 & 9--4:30p-7:30p
High School Team Camp ~ July 10-12

All Skills Camp I ~ June 10-12
All Skills camp will focus on developing and improving the fundamentals of volleyball. Passing, serving, setting, defense, attacking, blocking as well as team systems and competition. Camp sessions run from 9:00 a.m. -3:30 p.m. daily. Morning sessions run from 9:00 a.m. -12:00 p.m., afternoon session from 1:00-3:30 p.m.
Setting/Hitting Clinic ~ June 13
Setting/Hitting camp is designed to develop the fundamental skills of setting and attacking. This one-day camp will focus on setter footwork, technique and decision-making. Hitters will focus on approach footwork, arm swing and shot selection. Camp check in begins at 8:15a on June 13th and camp sessions will run from 9:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m.-3:00 p.m.
Serving Clinic ~ June 14
The serving camp is designed to develop the fundamentals of serving for beginners to advanced. The staff will teach each type of serve including standing float serve, jump float serve and top spin serve. Camp check in begins at 8:15 a.m. on June 14 and camp will run from 9:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m.
All Skills Camp II ~ July 8 & 9
All Skills camp will focus on developing and improving the fundamentals of volleyball. Passing, serving, setting, defense, attacking, blocking as well as team systems and competition. Camp sessions run from 9:00a-3:30p daily. Morning session from 9:00-12:00p, afternoon session from 1:00-3:30 p.m.
Positional Camp ~ July 8 & 9
All participants will receive individual instruction from U of L coaching staff on a specific position. Two night sessions from 4:30-7:30 p.m. will be set aside for specialty session. Advanced, detailed instruction in the fundamentals and tactics of each skill will be taught in an intense three hour session. Specific position topics will include setting, outside and right side hitting, middle hitting and serve receive/defense.
High School Team Camp ~ July 10-12
High school team camp is designed to prepare teams before entering the high school season. Each team will compete in skill training & scrimmages throughout the camp and a tournament on the final day of camp. This camp allows campers to compete against some of the nation's top high schools. Camp is open to every high school team and player. Check-in will begin at 9:30 a.m. on July 10 at Threkheld Hall. The first session will begin at 1:00p on July 10. The last day (July 12) of camp will end at 4:00 p.m.
