The University of Louisville men's tennis team was selected one of the Intercollegiate Tennis Association's All-Academic Team and five players were named Scholar Athletes.
Senior Amaury Derognat, juniors Chris Simich, Sebastian Stiefelmeyer and Albert Wagner and sophomore Alex Gornet earned Scholar Athlete recognition.
"I am very proud of this team being named ITA All-Academic Team," said UofL head coach Rex Ecarma. "The ITA honors the top academic teams in the country. These players understand the seriousness of academics and have me really proud. I am especially happy about Alex Gornet, Amaury Derognat, Chris Simich, Sebastian Stiefelmeyer, and Albert Wagner. Those guys excel on the court and in the classroom. One of my dreams is that all my players achieve a 4.0 GPA."
