
Volleyball Vaults into National AVCA Poll

The University of Louisville women's volleyball team was ranked No. 24 by the AVCA in the Division I Coaches 2012 Week 2 Poll.
This marks the first time that the Cards have been voted into the Top 25 since November 19, 2007. At that time Louisville was also ranked No. 24 in the country and had maintained Top 25 status for the previous four weeks. The No. 24 ranking marks the 91st time that the Cardinals have entered into the Top 25. The highest ranking that the Cardinals have ever achieved came on October 24, 2005 when they came in at No. 6 in the nation
This coming weekend Louisville will play in the BIG EAST/Big Ten Challenge in Cincinnati, Ohio. The Cards will play Purdue on Sept. 7 at 4:30, p.m., ET and Illinois on Sept. 8 at 4:30, p.m., ET. The next home matches will take place on Sept. 14 and Sept. 15 during the Louisville Tournament when Middle Tennessee State, UNLV, and Miami come to the KFC Yum! Center.
