Hey Card Fans!
This is Courtney and I'm here to tell you about our lovely first day of the school year. Our days began with a busy schedule filled with different classes. My personal day began with sitting in my 9:30 A.M class with Kaitlynn James. While we were sitting in class listening attentively to the professor we hear Caitlin Welch whisper from three row backs. Little Welch snuck in at the last minute before class started and we didn't see her!! However, she snuck down to our row and the three amigos were united again! Needless to say that should be an interesting class this semester. :)
After classes ended we began practice at 3:00 P.M. We started with watching film of our Red and White Scrimmage from Saturday. We looked great I must say! Then we went out to the gym and began practice. We worked on defensive techniques and then applied it to live hitting to work on defensive floor moves. We also did a few 6 on 6 drills to work on our serve receive rotations. Overall our practice was very productive and I felt like we all improved and made one step closer to preparing for our opening weekend coming up with Western Kentucky, Morehead State, and Penn State!
After practice the majority of the team had to go lift with Hammer; however James, Welch, and myself got to go to Texas Roadhouse to advertise our season with marketing! We had a great time walking around to different tables talking with fans and inviting them to our games. Air Louie attended this event with us and trust me he was a BIG HIT. In fact he was so big, he didn't fit down the aisles at Texas Roadhouse. So, unfortunately he had to stay at the entrance but it was still a success.
In closing, we had a great preseason and we are so thankful for all you're support! We are looking forward to our upcoming season and can't wait to see everyone down at the Yum Center! LET'S GO CARDS!!!!!
