Hey Cardinal Fans, Brooke here!
Well, it's a great Sunday. Do you know why? No, it's not because there's no post on Sunday it's because we had an off day to recuperate after our Red and White Scrimmage last night. Speaking of that, we had a great turnout and I want to thank all the fans for coming out and showing their support!
As far as today, some of the team went in for treatment this morning to rejuvenate our bodies while the freshmen had their athletic orientation. Poor girls! Can't say that I envy them. As for me, I had a couple hours to lay by the pool and catch some rays. It's the first time I've had time to enjoy this nice weather we're having since the beginning of preseason.
After my relaxing day, the team got ready and dressed up for the Welcome Back Athletic Banquet which was held at Papa John's Stadium. It was a beautiful night to be out and about on the terrace. They provided great food. A beautiful transition form the Grill Ville menu. I think Courtney's mouth started watering as soon as she stepped off the elevator. After we ate, Julie Hermann and Tom Jurich spoke about the greatness of Louisville Athletics. I couldn't agree more.
It was nice to be with the whole team along with every other sports team at Louisville. We laughed and joked around most of the night. Unfortunately for Katie George, we put all our name tags on her back without her knowing. Silly freshman. Lastly, we got some great team photos which should be coming to you all soon. So check us out on Facebook.

With that said, tomorrow kicks off the school year and regular practices. We are so excited for the season to start. Especially, with our first tournament bringing in such talented teams. We hope that all you Cardinal Fans will come out and watch us at the KFC Yum! Center this weekend. It's going to be a blast.
Signing off, I'm Brooke Mattingly. You stay classy Louisville. ;)
