LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Volleyball fans will have one more chance to celebrate the 2011 volleyball season at the Cardinal Volleyball Banquet which will be held in the PNC Club at Papa John's Cardinal Stadium on Saturday, February 25th at 6:30 p.m.
The 2012 UofL Volleyball Banquet will be the first banquet under the guidance of head coach Anne Kordes, who directed Louisville to a regular-season BIG EAST championship, advanced to the second round of the NCAA Tournament, and compiled a 24-9 record this season.
Led by BIG EAST Player of the Year Lola Arslanbekova and First Team All-BIG EAST Selection Emily Juhl, the Cardinals earned their 13th consecutive NCAA postseason birth. With a dominating performance in the first round, the Cardinals swept Ball State to claim the program's 14th NCAA tournament victory. Lola became a part of the 1,000 kills club this season and currently is sitting at number three on the Louisville all-time kills list.
Coach Kordes invites fans for a night to celebrate our great 2011 season on February 25th. Sean Moth, the voice of the Cardinals, will be the master of ceremonies for the night. There will be highlight videos, awards, and head coach Anne Kordes will reflect on the 2011 Cardinal squad. All proceeds from the dinner will benefit the UofL volleyball team.
The cost will be $40 per person. To reserve your spot at the banquet, please email Christine.krellwitz@louisville.edu or call her at 502-852-0706.
