Men's Tennis Concludes Play at Duke Fab Four Invitational

DURHAM, N.C. - - Senior Robert Hall and freshman Albert Wagner won the consolation championships in each of their divisions as the University of Louisville men's tennis team wrapped up play at the Duke Fab Four Invitational Sunday.
The Cardinals sent four players to the tournament and picked up 10 wins in singles and three in doubles in their opening weekend of play.
Playing in the `Blue' Division, Hall lost his opening round match, but won his next three to claim the consolation title.
Senior Andrew Carter won his first two matches to advance to the semifinals of the `Black' Division where he suffered his first loss of the season.
Sebastian Stiefelmeyer started his college campaign with a win in the `White' Division, but fell to the division's top-seeded player, 25th ranked Luka Somen in the second round.
Fellow freshman Albert Wagner lost his first round match to No. 93 Fred Saba, and dropped to the consolation bracket, where he rattled off three straight wins to claim the `White' Division consolation championship.
In doubles action, the duo of Hall and Wagner lost in their first round match, but advanced to the consolation finals of the `A' doubles flight.
In the `B2' doubles bracket, Stiefelmeyer and Carter advanced to the finals before falling to Duke's Fred Saba and Raphael Hemmeler.
