
Women's Golf Finishes 10th at the LSU Golf Classic

Baton Rouge, La. - The University of Louisville women's golf team shot a 302 in the final round of the LSU Golf Classic on Sunday afternoon. The Cardinals finished 10th with a score of 914. Arkansas won the tournament with a score of 888. Virginia finished second with a score of 895. Alabama, Tennessee and Duke finished third with a score of 900.
Sophomore Anna Karin Ljungstrom shot a 69 in the final round to finish tied for first. Ljungstrom notched birdies on holes 2, 5, 6, 10 and 14. She made the turn at two under par and then finished the back nine at one under. Ljungstrom tied Duke's Lindy Duncan with a score of 218. The two went into a playoff. Both players shot par on the 10th hole and the 11th hole. Ljungstrom's putt for par on the 18th hole went long and Duncan shot par for the playoff win.
Senior Sara-Maude Juneau shot a 75 in the final round to finish tied for 20th with a score of 225. Juneau finished the day with two birdies and one bogey. Laura Anderson shot a 79 in the final round. She finished tied at 31st with a score of 228.
Sophomore Candice Wiley shot an 80 in the final round to finish 88th with a score of 244. Freshman Tara Lyons shot a 79 in the final round and finished tied for 98th with a score of 249.
The Cardinals will be back in action at the Bryan National Collegiate on March 25-27 in Brown Summit, N.C.
