
Men's Swimming Ranked #11, Women #19 in CSCAA Poll

The University of Louisville men's swimming and diving team moved to No. 11 in the CSCAA National Rankings and the U of L women are also in the top 20, sitting at No. 19.
For the men, Louisville makes a strong showing for the Big East, moving from 16th to 11th. Arizona jumps to a unanimous #1 position after their performance at the Texas Invite. Texas rebounded from an early season loss against Michigan to post stronger times at mid season. Stanford leads a deep Pac 12 with three teams in the top 6. Auburn is tops in the SEC and Michigan leads the Big 10. UVA surges from 21st to 12th and the top of the ACC with a win over #23 Penn St and a strong performance at the Georgia Invite. Santa Barbara is your top ranked team from outside the power conferences, alongside Princeton after a fast start to their season at the Big Al Invite. Penn St jumps into the top 25 in a Big 10 tie with Minnesota, while Virginia Tech and North Carolina State drop out of the top 25.
The #19 Louisville women's team continues its reign on the Big East as the sole ranked team from the conference. Out of the SEC, Georgia unanimously maintains the top ranking in the country for the second 2011-2012 poll. Indiana jumps six spots to #8 and earns the highest ranking out of the Big 10. Both the SEC and the Big 10 top the rankings by each landing six teams in the Top 25 while the Pac 12, lead by Cal, shows its depth by ranking four teams in the top six. Southern Methodist jumps seven spots to land at #13 and again is the only team ranked from outside of the major conferences. Out of the Big 12, Texas continues to maintain the highest lead of the conference at #4, while the ACC is led by 11 Virginia as they tie with 13 Southern Methodist as the biggest jumpers of the second poll of the yearThe Big 10 and the SEC both debut new teams in the poll with Wisconsin and Arkansas coming in at #16 and #20 respectively.
