Freshman: Erika added much needed depth in the distance freestyle events for the Cardinals. She was on the non-scoring squad at the BIG EAST Championships, but posted times that would have added points for the Cardinals. In the 500-free she posted a season best time of 4:54. . She also competed in the 200-free, where she posted a lifetime best time of 1:50.74. On the last day of competition, she swam the 1650-free in a time of 16:48.73. In dual meet action, Erika was a staple in the distance freestyle events. She completed a 1-2-3 sweep of the 1000-free against rival Notre Dame and of the 500-free against UK. She also posted a season best time in the 400-IM against Indiana.
Prep: Erika Wozniak of Savannah, Ga., and the Georgia Coastal Aquatic Team, comes to the University of Louisville by way of Georgia's swimming coach of the year, Bill Forrester. She is a three-time National Championship qualifier and finished 20th in the 1500-meter (17:03.31) and 27th in the 800-meter freestyle (8:57.86) at the 2010 Junior National Championships in Irvine, Calif. Erika currently holds the Georgia Independent School Association state records in the 500-yard freestyle and the 200-yard freestyle. She was the independent state champion in the 200-medley relay, 200-free relay, 500-free and 100-back. At the Georgia Senior State Meet, her best finish came as runner-up in the 500-free and 1650-free. A six-time Georgia All-Star, Wozniak swam the 500-free at the Minnesota Grand Prix in the same heat as current U of L coach Rachel Komisarz.
