Men's Tennis Completes Day One of Cliff's Invitational

The University of Louisville men's tennis team completed the first day of the Cliff's Invitational hosted by Florida State.
"We got a lot of experience today, especially the freshmen," said U of L head coach Rex Ecarma. "My focus is putting them in the fire of competition so their game can be purified."
Freshman Felipe Nino defeated Michigan's Barrett Franks 3-6, 6-3, 6-4 to pick up Louisville's only singles win of the day. Junior Andrew Carter fell 6-0, 6-1 to Vahid Mirzaeh and freshman Arren Carter lost 6-1, 7-5 to Michigan's Justin Rossi.
In first round doubles action Carter and Carter fell 8-2 to Michigan's Shaun Bernstein and Chris Cha. Nino and fellow freshman Dante Terenzio lost to Furman's Crist and Droll 8-6.
In the second round of doubles play, Furman's Sawyer Duncan and Robbie Aru teamed to beat Carter and Carter 8-3 while Clemson's Zachary Rigsby and Juan Bolona edged Nino and Terenzio 9-7.
