
Hall and Carter Reach Finals of Louisville Fall Invitational

Senior Robert Hall and freshman Arren Carter advanced to the finals of their respective flights in the 2010 Louisville Fall Invitational Tournament Saturday at the Bass-Rudd Tennis Center. Hall will face Illinois State's Timon Reichelt in the Flight `A' finals while Carter will play Illinois State's Skip Span for the `B' flight title Sunday upon the completion of doubles play.
"Any time you finish the second day of an invitational in a perfect way, winning all your matches you have to be happy," said U of L head coach Rex Ecarma. "I'm really proud of Robert Hall and Arren Carter for winning all three of their matches. Also Dante and Felipe looked like a doubles team today, quite a sight to see. I hope the fans can support the guys in their quest for tournament championships tomorrow."
In Flight `A' singles, Hall defeated Lipscomb's Oliver Strecker 6-1, 6-3 and followed with a 7-5, 6-4 semifinal victory over Illinois State's Alexander Pelaez to reach Sunday's title match.
Carter registered a 7-5, 6-3 quarterfinal win over Lipsomb's Joe McArdle and went on to beat Wright State's Riya Bennoui 6-4, 6-2 in the Flight `B' semifinals.
In doubles action, Hall and Carter teamed to beat Austin Peay's Jasmin Ademovic an Remi Calleja to reach the `A' semifinals.
Freshmen Dante Terenzio and Felipe Nino combined to beat Wright State's Dan Hyman and Art Keighly 8-3 to reach the `B' semifinals.
Sunday's action will start with the doubles semifinals at 9 a.m. The doubles finals will follow and the tournament will conclude with the singles championship matches.
