
Women's Golf Finishes Fourth at the Ptarmigan Ram Classic

Ft. Collins, Colo. - The University of Louisville women's golf team finished fourth at the Ptarmigan Ram Classic on Tuesday afternoon. The Cardinals shot a 288 in the final round to finish fourth with a score of 873. Colorado shot a 287 in the final round to win the tournament with a score of 865. California finished second with a score of 867 and Oregon finished third, just one stroke ahead of the Cards with a score of 872.
Senior Sara-Maude Juneau shot a 71 in the final round to finish tied for fifth with a score of 213. Juneau led the Cardinals on the day with the lowest round. Idaho's Kayla Mortellaro took medalist honors after shooting a 70 in the third round to win with a score of 207.
Sophomore Anna-Karin Ljungstrom finished 12th after shooting a 72 in the final round. Ljungstrom finished with a score of 216. Sophomore Candice Wiley also shot a 72 in the final round to finish tied for 22nd. Wiley finished the tournament with a score of 220.
Junior Maria Castellanos shot a 73 in the final round to finish tied at 53rd. Castellanos finished the day with a score of 228. Freshman Tara Lyons finished tied a 76th in her Cardinal debut. Lyons shot a 78 in the final round to finish with a score of 236.
Freshman Maike Klein competed as an individual. Klein shot a 75 in the final round to finish tied at 72nd with a score of 235.
The Cardinals will be back in action on Oct. 2, competing in the W.K. Warren Irish Invitational.
