Andrew Carter Advances to Fourth Round in ITF Futures Tournament

University of Louisville junior Andrew Carter picked up two wins in the ITF Men's Futures Tournament in Decatur, Illinois.
After receiving a first round bye Carter defeated Jason Jung 6-3 6-2. He followed that with a 6-1, 6-3 victory over Trevor Horstmann before falling to Dennis Nevolo 6-0, 7-5 in the fourth round.
"All the work that Andrew has put in this summer is working," said U of L head coach Rex Ecarma. "I am so proud of the leadership he has taken with the team this summer as far as keeping himself and his teammates on task. Since his strength and fitness is at its highest level, it has really increased his confidence."
