Rowing Closes Final Day of Lake Natoma Invitational

GOLD RIVER, Calif. - The University of Louisville rowing team completed the final day of racing at the Lake Natoma Invitational with a third-place finish in the B Group on Sunday morning.
The Cardinals scored six points in their three races on Sunday to trail Tennessee and No. 14 Wisconsin with 15 points each. Louisville's varsity eight boat covered the course in a time of 6:44.14 to trail Tennessee's 6:36.00 and Wisconsin's 6:40.93.
In the second varsity eight race, Wisconsin led the way with a time of 6:34.94, while Tennessee was second at 6:45.61 and Louisville was third at 7:04.00. And in the varsity four event, the Badgers led the way at 7:26.40, while the Lady Vols were second with a time of 7:38.30 and the Cardinals were third at 8:11.80.
Up next, the Louisville rowing team will travel to Worchester, Mass., for the BIG EAST Conference Championships on April 25.
