
Men's Tennis Starts Strong at UNLV Invitational

LAS VEGAS - - The University of Louisville men's tennis team picked up five doubles wins on the first day of the UNLV Invitational Wednesday.
In the `A' doubles division, Simon Childs and Viktor Maksimcuk teamed to beat Indiana's Jeremy Langer and Maxime Armengaud 8-4. Austen Childs and Andrew Carter topped IU's Josh McTaggart and Isade Juneau 8-6. Robert Hall and Alejandro Calligari defeated Jeremy Langer and Maxime Armengaud 8-6 and Austen Childs and Chidi Gabriel topped Will Kendal and Stephen Vogl 9-8.
In `B' doubles, Sumit-Prakash Gupta and Carter beat McTaggart and Alexander Van Gils 8-3.
Gabriel picked up a `B' division singles win with a 9-8 decision over Alexander Van Gils.
Play at the UNLV Invitational will continue Friday.
