Four University of Louisville men's tennis players have been named Intercollegiate Tennis Association Scholar Athletes. Senior Tim Barnoud and sophomores Andrew Carter, Adam Donaldson and Sumit-Prakash Gupta each earned the honor for the Cardinals.
"Sumit, Andrew, Adam, and Tim Barnoud all know the meaning of student-athlete," said U of L head coach Rex Ecarma. "They are as serious about their studies as they are about their tennis. The classroom is a very important place to them and they make it a priority every day to be academically excellent. I am proud of them all."
In order to earn ITA Scholar-Athlete status a player must meet the following criteria: 1.) be a varsity letter winner, 2.) have a grade point average of at least 3.50 (on a 4.00 scale) for the current academic year, and 3.) have been enrolled at their present school for at least two semesters
