
Women's Golf Wins Napa River Grill Cardinal Cup

Louisville, Ky. - The Louisville women's golf team set a new Napa River Grill Cardinal Cup record, winning the tournament with a score of 866. The Cardinals broke the record of 873 set by Notre Dame in 2007. Louisville shot a 291 in the final round to win the tournament title with a 32 stroke advantage. It is the third title the Cardinals have grabbed since the tournament began in 2002, with a one year hiatus last season because of the Ryder Cup.
Junior Sara-Maude Juneau took medalist honors after shooting a 72 in the final round for a score of 213. Juneau tied the record for lowest score in the Napa River Grill Cardinal Cup. The win is also Juneau's first collegiate win.
Junior Laura Anderson finished tied for third with a score of 217. Anderson shot a 76 in the final round for her second straight Top 5 finish this season. Senior Daphne Parker shot a team low round of 70 to finish tied for sixth with a score of 222.
Redshirt freshman Anna Karin Ljungstrom shot a 77 in the final round to finish tied at sixth with a score of 222. Freshman Candice Wiley shot a 73 in the final round to finish tied at 18th with a score of 226.
Three Cardinals competed as individuals in the tournament. Sophomore Maria Castellanos shot a 77 in the final round to finish 39th with a score of 233. Senior Camille Williams shot an 81 in the final round to finish tied at 56th with a score of 240. Senior Danielle Kom shot an 80 in the final round to finish tied at 59th with a score of 241.
Kentucky finished second with a score of 898 and Maryland finished third with a score of 899.
