BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - The University of Louisville men's tennis team closed out the Hoosier Invitational with three wins Sunday.
"I feel good coming out of this tournament," said U of L head coach Rex Ecarma. "We played a whole lot better at the end, than at the beginning and the improvement was obvious. Alejandro Calligari and Robert Hall both ended up with seven wins in the tournament which is a high volume for weekend. This should help jump start the season."
In the IU Flight, sophomore Robert Hall defeated Western Michigan's Michael Calderone 6-4, 6-0 and junior Alejandro Calligari topped Cleveland State's Phil Orno 5-7, 6-2, 7-5.
In doubles action, Calligari and Hall picked up an 8-4 win over Tennessee's Max Stevens and Bryan Swartz.
The Cards will compete in the Ball State Invitational and the Virginia Plus One Invitational Sept. 25-17.
