
Men's Tennis Wraps Up Day Two of Hoosier Invitational

The University of Louisville men's tennis team picked up three singles wins and two doubles victories on day two of the Hoosier Invitational Saturday.
In singles action, Robert Hall defeated Western Michigan's Kazuya Komada 2-6, 6-3, 6-2, but fell to Santiago Gruter 6-2, 6-3 in the semifinals of the IU Flight. In that same flight, Alejandro Calligari defeated Cleveland State's Yannick Goossens 2-6, 7-6, 6-4, and went on to defeat Falk DeBeenhouwer of Southern Illinois.
Adam Donaldson lost to Brandon McDonald 6-2, 6-2 in the quarterfinals of the Crimson Flight and Sumit-Prakash Gupta fell 6-3, 6-2 to Southern Illinois' Chikara Kidera in the Hoosier Flight.
In doubles action, the tandem of Calligari and Hall defeated Morehead State's Greg Anderson and Bradley Bryan 8-6. Gupta and Donaldson teamed to beat SIU's Lucas Waked and DeBeenhouwer 8-3. Morehead State's Nathan Blum and Nathan Martin then edged Gupta and Donaldson 9-8(4).
The Hoosier Invitational will conclude Sunday.
