LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The University of Louisville men's tennis team moved up three spots to No. 39 in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association team rankings. The Cardinals (7-1) are coming off of a 4-3 win over No. 38 Wisconsin on Feb. 8.
"At the beginning of the year, we started off #48 of roughly 260 Division teams," said U of L head coach Rex Ecarma. "Due to our wins over several ranked teams, we have moved up to 45, 42, and now 39. We are definitely moving the right direction and the players are hungry to continue the progress. We all believe we can be a very good and are happy that the ranking committee has acknowledged our progress."
U of L is back in action on Tuesday, Feb. 17 when Eastern Kentucky visits the Bass-Rudd Tennis Center at noon and the Cards play host to UT-Martin at 5 p.m.
