
Men's Tennis Competes in Seminole Invitational

Austen Childs won two singles matches and teamed with Simon Childs for a doubles victory on the first day of the Seminole Invitational Saturday.
Sophomore Austen Childs, No. 26 in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association defeated UAB's Tommy Petrich 6-4, 7-5 in the first round and picked up a 6-2, 2-1 ret.) win over Miami's Keith Crowley.
Sophomore Simon Childs fell to Auburn's Nick Maruillo 6-3, 6-1 his first round of play. Freshman Robert Hall lost to East Tennessee State's Matej Zlatcovic 6-4, 6-2.
In doubles action, No. 26 Austen Childs and Simon Childs (no relation) beat Florida's Daniel Cash and Johnny Hamui 8-6 in `A' Doubles.
Singles and doubles play at the Seminole Invitational will continue Sunday.
