Men's Golf Wins Weather-Shortened Kepler Invite

Columbus, Ohio - Playing in inclement weather conditions, the University of Louisville men's golf team won the weather-shortened Kepler Invitational on Sunday. The tournament was called after the second round with the Cardinals being crowned champions.
The Cardinals shot 299 on Sunday to win by nine strokes over second-place Michigan State.
Junior Derek Fathauer came in second overall individually by shooting a pair of 72s.
Freshman Lewis Kirton posted his best finish as he ended the day in a tie for fourth after shooting 71-77=148. Sophomore Adam Hadwin was tied for 14th at 70-82=152, while Daryl Fathauer and Adam Rainaud were tied for 23rd with identical 79-75-154.
The Cardinals will host the BIG EAST Championships at the Cardinal Club next weekend.
