Hadwin Leads Men's Golf at Palisades

Charlotte, N.C. - Sophomore Adam Hadwin led the Louisville men's golf team for the first time, leading the Cardinals to a tie for third-place in a field of 18 through the first day of competition at the Palisades Collegiate Golf Classic at the par-72, 6,797 yard Palisades Golf Course in Charlotte, N.C. The Cardinals finished the first day with a total score of 571 and tied with Tennessee-Chattanooga and Ole Miss.
Hadwin fired a three-under par 141 (70-71), leaving Hadwin in a tie for 1th-place individually.
Junior Derek Fathauer was next for the Cardinals, finishing with a total of 143 (72-71) to stand in a tie for 18th individually. Fathauer fired a one-under par 71 in the second round as well as par in the first.
Junior Daryl Fathauer (74-69) tied his brother. He opened up with a 74, but responded with a three-under par 69. Freshman Lewis Kirton posted his best day of the spring with 71=73=144 to stand in a tie for 24th and Andrew Freeman is tied for 57th
The team will finish the tournament with the third and final round with fixed tee times beginning at 8 a.m. CST Tuesday morning. The leads the tournament with a 579 (287-292).
