Men's Golf Wins the Mission Inn Collegiate Invitational

HOWEY-IN-THE-HILLS, Fla. - - Junior Daryl Fathauer and sophomore Adam Hadwin each finished third as the University of Louisville men's golf team won the 2007 Mission Inn Collegiate Invitational in Howey-in-the-Hills, Fla.
Louisville closed out the team title with a 293 on Sunday. The Cardinals posted a 36-hole score of 860, which was 14-strokes clear of second-place UNC-Greensboro. Wichita State and Marquette (882) finished tied for third in the 16-team field. The individual medalist was Marquette's Mike VanSickle, who carded a 74 on Sunday and a four-under-par 212 for the tournament.
Fathauer shot 67-73-74=214, while Hadwin fired 73-68-73=214 to post high honors for the Cardinals.
Junior Derek Fathauer shot 73-71-72=216 to finish in a tie for eighth-place, while junior Andrew Freeman tied for 14th overall after carding 72-70-76=218. Freshman Lewis Kirton rebounded from a tough first two rounds by shooting a 74 on Sunday to tie for 53rd.
The Cardinals return to action March 26-27 at the USA Spring Classic at South Alabama.
