
Men's Tennis Travels to Great Northwest Shootout

The No. 42 ranked University of Louisville men's tennis team travels to Seattle, Wash., for the Great Northwest Shootout Feb. 9-11. Louisville (5-2) takes on No. 56 ranked Texas Tech (2-1) on Friday at 3 p.m. Saturday, the Cardinals will face the No. 17 Washington Huskies (2-1) at 5 p.m. The Cards will finish the weekend against No. 34 Middle Tennessee (5-1) on Sunday at 1 p.m.
No.71 Slavko Radman leads the Cardinals this season with a 9-5 overall record and is 3-1 record as the Cards' top seed. Radman teams with Damar Johnson as the No. 24 doubles tandem in the nation. Radman and Johnson are 14-4 overall and 5-1 as the Cards' No. 1 seed. Sophomore Robert Rotaru has been the most successful in dual play posting a 6-1 dual record playing mostly at No. 41.
Texas Tech is led by No. 12 Bojan Szumanski and No. 92 Sinisa Markovic. Szumanski has posted a 13-4 overall singles record and a 2-2 doubles record. Markovic is 12-5 in singles play this year.
Washington is led by No. 98 Alex Slovic, who is 7-2 overall and 2-1 at No. 1 singles. In doubles play, No. 35 Michael Ricks and Patrik Fischer lead the team with an 8-2 overall record.
Middle Tennessee is led by No. 41 Andreas Siljestrom, 12-5 overall and 6-0 in dual play at No. 1 singles.
Following the Great Northwest Shootout, the Cards will travel to Blacksburg, Va. to play No. 61 Brown University on Feb. 17.
