Tennessee (2-0) is No. 41 in the ITA team rankings. Junior Bobby Cameron is No. 24 in the ITA singles rankings, while Kaden Hensel is No. 35. Cameron and Hensel are fifth in the nation in the ITA doubles rankings. The team of Ben Rogers and Adam Hubble is No. 34.
"We are excited about playing the Vols in Knoxville," said U of L head coach Rex Ecarma. "In my opinion, they are a top 20 type of team. We believe they'll be in the upper echelon of a very tough Southeastern Conference and that we'd better be prepared for an all-out war. We haven't played there since 2003, when we beat them 4-2, thanks to the heroics of Jhonny Berrido. We'll need that type of effort just to compete with them this year."
U of L will return home on Feb. 2 to face Morehead State at 10 a.m. and Murray Sate at 6 p.m. at the Bass-Rudd Tennis Center.
